The second part of the highly anticipated anime 86 -EIGHTY SIX- started off with a bang with introducing new characters as well as character development of some from our beloved characters in this show.

Without further ado, let’s take a look back on what happened on the latest episode of 86 -EIGHTY SIX-.

• Lena’s Moving forward
  On this episode, we have learned that Lena was demoted from Major to Captain of the Spearhead Squadron due to the unauthorized use of the interception cannons. Despite all of that, she continues to lead the new unit with trust on them.

I honestly see this coming considering on what Lena did on the first part of this anime. Despite the consequences that she will received, Lena still did that for the sake of saving Shin and the rest of his comrades. I also love to see the fact that her new unit really trust Lena this time. I can’t wait to see on how Lena will handle her new squadron this time.

• Shin’s Reawakening
  After a few weeks journey towards new-life, Shin wakes up from his dying dream just to know that they were save by the people from Federacy of Giad. After awakening, the acting president of the Federacy, Ernst Zimerman went inside the cubicle to see to confirm that he is ok and also to greet him.

When I saw this episode, I took a deep breath when I learned that they were safe and that someone had sheltered and received them. It is also good to know that they were given a fair treatment and treated as a guest. Now the only question is what comes next after that.

• Frederica Rosenfort
  One of the new characters that was introduced on the new episode is the young girl named Frederica Rosenfort. Frederica’s debut was kind of hilarious especially when she met Shin, Anju, Raiden, Teoto and Kurena while acting like a bossy spoiled brat. We have also learned on this episode that Frederica is actually is actually the Empress of the former Giad Empire.

I really want to know the backstory of Frederica on how Giad Empire went to downfall and how did she met Ernst Zimerman. I have a bad feeling about this Ernst Zimerman when I saw him for the first time. I hope I was just mistaken here.

• Overall
  As the title says, welcome and good to see you again. The introduction of new characters is a good start for the new season of this anime. I’m more curious what they’ll do and what impact their characters will have in the next episodes.
