A few days after it was first released in cinemas in Japan, film distributor Pioneer Films announced their plan to release “The First Slam Dunk” movie in cinemas in the Philippines this February 2023.

The announcement was published through their Facebook page Viewers’ Choice Philippines where they said their plan and what day it will be released in cinemas in the Philippines which is February 1, 2023.

There are no other details on when the fan screening or what theaters in the Philippines will show the said movie. Stay tuned to Pioneer Films’ official page “Viewers’ Choice Philippines” and “Anime Movies Philippines” for other details on the planned release of the said anime movie here in the Philippines.

The First Slam Dunk is a 2022 Japanese computer-animated sports film directed and written by Takehiko Inoue, produced by Toei Animation and Dandelion Animation Studio. It is based on the Slam Dunk manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. It was released theatrically in Japan in December 2022.
