The key visual and teaser preview for the upcoming supernatural anime “Malovalent Spirits” based on Onigunsou have been announced.

The new key visual features the male protagonist Hyōma Kunato and female protagonist Botan Nagatsuki on the said upcoming action-supernatural anime.

A teaser preview has been revealed via the YouTube channel of ShoPro. It was also revealed that BN Pictures will be in charge of the animation production. There is still no update on when “Malevolent Spirits” will be airing.

Malevolent Spirits is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Onigunsou. It was first serialized in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump from April 2014 to December 2015 and it was later transferred to Ultra Jump in January 2016. An anime television series adaptation by Bandai Namco Pictures has been announced.

Synopsis:
Tsukumogami—spirits or “marebito” can possess objects of considerable age and gain a physical form. Although he is part of the Saenome clan that is in charge of peacefully sending them back to their own world, Hyouma Kunato despises them because one took away what was very precious to him. In order to cure him of this loathing, Hyouma’s grandfather sends him to live with Botan Nagatsuki, a girl who is the master of six “friendly” tsukumogami and lives with them as a family.
