After several years, we can finally see Yankumi again on Philippine TV as GMA Network announced the comeback of the most well-loved Japanese Drama in the Philippines “GOKUSEN” this April.

GOKUSEN premieres April 25, every Weekdays at 8:25am, after Dragon Ball Z under the FantaSeries block of the said Philippine TV channel.
Gokusen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kozueko Morimoto. It was serialized in Shueisha’s You from 2000 to 2007. The manga was adapted into a three-season television drama, with Yukie Nakama in the title role. The story follows Kumiko Yamaguchi, the granddaughter of a yakuza boss and teacher at an all-male private high school.
She is a novice high school teacher assigned to section 3-D made up of reprimanded and intimidated students. But what her abusive students don’t know, despite her kind-hearted appearance, is that there is a hidden hostile and cruel woman from the Yakuza family

Here in the Philippines, GOKUSEN was first aired in May of 2006 via GMA Network making as the very first Japanese Drama to be shown on Philippine Free TV with multiple reruns since then. The television rights of GOKUSEN is licensed by Telesuccess Productions Inc.
