Dr. STONE Manga Ends after 5 Years of Serialization

The popular sci-fi shounen manga Dr. STONE has reached its end after 232 chapters. The official Twitter of the anime has sent a congratulatory message to a successful run of the said manga.

In the said tweet, they congratulated the author of Dr. STONE, Riichiro Inagaki for completing the story of said sci-fi shounen manga in the five years since it was serialized.

Although the said manga is over, its anime adaptation will continue. Apart from season 1 which will air in 2019 and season 2 (Stone Wars) which will air in 2021, there will also be a 3rd season in the coming 2023. In addition, the upcoming OVA that will focus on the story of Ryusui Nanami will air this year.

Dr.STONE is a Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022.

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world.
