AKB48’s 58th Single “Ne Mo Ha Mo Rumor” Ranked 1st in the 45th consecutive Oricon Ranking

AKB48’s latest single “Ne Mo Ha Mo Rumor” sold 351,000 copies in the first week and tops the first appearance in the latest “Oricon Weekly Single Ranking” announced on October 5.

AKB48 sets the record for the most number of works that top 1st place in a row by female artists and the number of singles won first place by female artists. They won 45 works in a row from their 14th single “RIVER” dated November 2, 2009.

This work is the first release in 1 year and 6 months from the previous work “Shitsuren, Arigato” which won 1st place in the Oricon weekly single ranking on March 30, 2020 and has been 10 since the “Chance no Junban” released in December 2010.

For the first time in 9 months a year, it will be released by selected members consisting only of AKB48, which the sister group does not participate in. Nana Okada has been her second center since her “Jabaja” (released in March 2018). As of now, their music video has 1.5 million views.

The song is an up-tempo and energetic dance number. In the music video, AKB48 members play the roles of students, dance club OBs, and advisors on the stage of school, and the dance scene with a total of 98 members and extras makes you feel the “youth” of the highlight.
