MNL48, Beverly, OtaCute and More to Highlight JAPAN FIESTA 2021

The official Facebook page of Japan Fiesta and Visit Japan Philippines announced through its social media pages that they will kick-off 2021 with the 2nd Japan Fiesta event. But this time, it will happen virtually.

Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, especially on the upcoming events in the Philippines, the Japan Fiesta Committee decided to do it virtually.

The event will take place this January 18-24, 2021, from 9:00pm to 10:00pm and will be live streamed on Facebook, YouTube and official website of Japan Fiesta 2021.

Here is the list of guests and performers involved in this event, along with the days when they will be seen.

MNL48 is an all-girl sing-and-dance group, aging 15-20 years old (average age of 16.69) with 48 members. The group is the Filipino version and the newest sister-group of the highest-selling J-pop phenomenon, AKB48, which started in Japan in 2006 and now has franchise all over Asia, including BNK48 (Bangkok), JKT48 (Jakarta) and among others. The Philippine’s first idol group, MNL48, just recently launched their newest and iconic 6th Single music video “River” as they enter a new era. MNL48’s latest and 6th Single “River” is spearheaded by double centers MNL48 Abby and MNL48 Gabb. MNL48 is currently jam-packed with online activities, projects and promotion of their latest single, “River”.

A world-class talented singer with a high tone voice that won numerous awards at music festivals held in America and the Philippines. She is now pursuing her music career in Japan. Making her way to the industry, she has done various shows not just in Japan. She was selected as a supporting act performer during Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman Tour” in Japan and also was invited to perform at ASEAN’s 50th Anniversary held in the Philippines, attracting attention all over the world.

Members have performed with Kodo, Cirque du Soleil, and on the catwalk. They have released their own high-energy taiko exercise video “MICORHYTHM” and performed at an official Rugby World Cup Final event in 2019.

Yakushiji kanho Kissaquo

Yakushiji kanho Kissaquo is a Deputy Director and a musician of Rinzai Sect and Imaji Temple in Imabari. In 2003, he formed a chorus group in Kyoto and named it, “KISSAQUO that means “tea ceremony or please go for tea”. They have done various performances in different musical events in Japan and have successfully released albums that became popular to many.
HPN3

HPN3 is a Japanese trio comedy group consists of Kazuo Inoue, Horikkoshi Yuuki, and Kazuki Tanaka. They started living here in the Philippines since April 2016 to study the Philippine culture and language. They have been one of the semi-finalists of Its Showtime’s (ABS-CBN) new segment “Funny One” for aspiring comedians.
Kuya Sawa

Kuya Sawa was a Japanese student who went viral on social media after netizens discovered him selling rice omelette (omurice in Japanese) in various locations in Metro Manila. Known as “Kuya Omurice” on his Facebook page, Kuya Sawa, peddles his rice delicacies and announces the time and location on his social media accounts.

Junna Tsukii is a Filipino-Japanese karateka. In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women’s kumite 50 kg event at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games as a member of Philippine national team.
Carlos Yulo

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino gymnast who became the first male athlete in Southeast Asia to win a gold medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 2019, when he won for the men’s floor exercise. His debut appearance at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games also earned Yulo two gold and five silver medals. He has been training in Japan since he was 16 years old with his coach Mr. Kugimiya.

enra is a performance collective that blends modern dance with original animated computer graphics, blending genres into a show that has captivated audiences worldwide. Members include specialists in martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, juggling and street dance. enra has performed in 30+ countries – Credits include America’s Got Talent and Cannes Film Festival. They also represented Japan at the IOC Evaluation Visit for Tokyo 2020.
Team Kramer

Team Kramer has gone a long way and you probably have laughed a lot of times watching their innocent selves in their videos and pictures. As much as their fans have inspired their family to share a chunk of their daily lives, they are inspired to share their dreams, way of life, and their Christian values to everyone. They have been to Japan twice and they will share us their experiences in their previous Japan trips!
JaiGa

Their blind date in another vlog, turned to real ones until they become so fond of each other and their chemistry caught the attention of a lot of people. Fumiya

Japanese content creator on YouTube with a channel titled FumiShunBase who vlogs about Japanese and Filipino culture. His fame grew when he became the first pure Japanese official housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Otso, a reality TV show for Filipinos. The “Konnichi-Wonder Vlogger ng Japan”, as he is called, he finished the 9-month running show as the 5th big placer.
