Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. announced today that Team NIV Captain Ecka Sibug will exit MNL48 and she will no longer be part of upcoming 3rd General Election.

Here’s the statement:

Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) would like to formally announce that MNL48 Ecka will be exiting the idol industry and will no longer be part of the Third General Election to pursue personal endeavors that we, HHE and MNL48, respect and understand.

As she departs from the idol group industry to take on a different career path, here’s her final message that she wanted to get across to her fans:

“Being part of MNL48 for 3 years has brought me to new lessons and opportunities. I’ve gained pains turned into lessons, co-aspirants turned into a family, and confidence that made me realized that I should continue that passion I have. This experience tested me and motivated me to keep on going and growing. I am beyond grateful for all these experiences knowing that I am not alone with this journey. All these are engraved to my hearts and will be forever treasured.

MNL48 Ecka would also like to extend her deepest gratitude towards the management.

“Thank you to the management, Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. for making MNL48 possible and for bridging all the girls to their wildest dreams. Thank you for the trainings that developed our skills and personality.”

MNL48 Ecka also ended her idol journey with a farewell letter.

“My journey will not end from here. This is just a new beginning. I am still the Ecka you knew but a better version of Ericka. A person who treasures and holds all the things I have learned. Thank you so much for joining me in my journey. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be grateful. I, MNL48 Ecka, celebrating this MNL48 journey with you. My flight will not stop. I will surely soar high. However, my journey will now move to a different direction. I am your Captain, finally taking off!” MNL48 Ecka stated.

With that, HHE gave its sincere gratitude to her commitment, talent, dedication and experiences she shared with the idol and wishing her nothing but the best in her future endeavors.
